How it works

With Glacial Chasm safely locked in play to prevent all damage that would be dealt to you, you are entirely immune to the symmetrical carnage that follows. You then cash in four accumulated quest counters on Quest for Pure Flame, priming the battlefield so that any source you control deals double damage this turn. Finally, tapping Heartless Hidetsugu halves each player's life total; because your opponent's halved total is instantly doubled back to their exact starting life by the enchantment, their health plummets straight to zero in a single, devastating stroke.
