How it works

1. Activate Krark-Clan Ironworks by sacrificing Rancor, adding 2.
2. Rancor triggers, returning itself to your hand from your graveyard.
3. Cast Rancor by paying 1, attaching it to a creature you control.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns an ordinary buff enchantment into an infinite mana engine by exploiting Mycosynth Lattice's global effect, which turns all permanents—including Rancor—into artifacts alongside their other types. With Rancor now recognized as an artifact, Krark-Clan Ironworks can readily sacrifice it for two colorless mana. When Rancor goes to the graveyard, its built-in trigger dutifully returns it to your hand, allowing you to recast it for just one mana and pocket the profit.
