How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Puppeteer Clique
2. When Puppeteer Clique dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Puppeteer Clique enters, it and Stalwart Successor trigger.
4. Resolve the Puppeteer Clique trigger, putting a creature from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control.
5. Resolve the Stalwart Successor trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Puppeteer Clique
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard into your personal recruiting office by pairing Thermopod with Puppeteer Clique. Each time you sacrifice the Clique to the Thermopod, its persist ability brings it back with a -1/-1 counter, but Stalwart Successor steps in to neutralize that drawback by placing a +1/+1 counter instead, resetting the creature for another round. This endless cycle allows you to continually trigger enters-the-battlefield effects while stripping every single creature card out of your opponents' graveyards and putting them onto the battlefield under your control, all while generating infinite red mana along the way.
