How it works

1. Animate Chromatic Orrery using Tough Cookie.
2. Activate Chromatic Orrery by tapping it, adding CCCCC
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Chromatic Orrery.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns your mana rocks into a self-sustaining engine by transforming Chromatic Orrery into a creature with Tough Cookie's animated ability. Once it's an artifact creature, Voltaic Construct can step in to untap it for a modest fee of two mana. Because Chromatic Orrery taps to produce five mana, you profit three generic mana each cycle—more than enough to pay for the Construct's ability and still come out ahead. To tie it all together, Chromatic Orrery's passive ability lets you spend that surplus mana as though it were any color, letting you completely filter your infinite supply and draw your entire deck using the Orrery's activated card-drawing ability.
