How it works

1. Animate Hourglass of the Lost using Tough Cookie.
2. Activate Hourglass of the Lost's first ability by tapping it, adding and putting a time counter on it.
3. Kate's first ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Intruder Alarm triggers, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This brilliant little engine transforms timekeeping into an absolute frenzy by animating Hourglass of the Lost with Tough Cookie, turning the mana rock into an artifact creature that can safely join the party. Once animated, tapping the Hourglass for mana places a time counter on it, which immediately triggers Kate Stewart to forge a 1/1 white Soldier creature token. Because Intruder Alarm watches the battlefield and untaps all creatures whenever any new combatant arrives, the newly minted Soldier resets the animated Hourglass and everything else you control, allowing you to loop the tap-for-mana ability indefinitely for boundless white mana, limitless token armies, and an arbitrarily large pump via Kate Stewart's attack trigger.
