How it works

  1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Oathsworn Vampire.
  2. When Oathsworn Vampire dies, Crime Novelist and Scion of Opulence trigger.
  3. Resolve the Crime Novelist trigger, adding R mana and putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
  4. Resolve the Scion of Opulence trigger, creating a Treasure token.
  5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
  6. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding B mana.
  7. Cast Oathsworn Vampire from your graveyard by paying 1B mana.
  8. Repeat.
