How it works

1. Declare Great Whale and Prosperous Thief as attackers.
2. When they aren't blocked, activate up to seven lands you control by tapping them, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Thousand-Faced Shadow's ninjutsu ability by paying 2 and returning Prosperous Thief from the battlefield to your hand, putting Thousand-Faced Shadow onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.
4. When Thousand-Faced Shadow enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating a token copy of Great Whale that is tapped and attacking.
5. When the Great Whale token enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
6. Activate Prosperous Thief's ninjutsu ability by paying 1 and returning Thousand-Faced Shadow from the battlefield to your hand, putting Prosperous Thief onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.
7. Repeat from step 2.
8. Deal combat damage using the Great Whale tokens, dealing infinite combat damage to the defending opponent.
9. If you control up to seven lands that can tap to produce at least 4, this combo nets infinite mana.

This elegant loop creates a devastating combat engine by leveraging ninjutsu to repeatedly cycle your attackers and multiply your threats. By bouncing Prosperous Thief and Thousand-Faced Shadow back and forth to your hand, you continuously trigger Thousand-Faced Shadow's ability to flood the battlefield with an army of tapped and attacking token copies of Great Whale. Each newly summoned whale brings its entering-the-battlefield trigger to untap your lands, providing the mana needed to sustain the ninjutsu costs over and over again. Meanwhile, Prosperous Thief rewards your onslaught of ninjas with a bounty of Treasure tokens whenever they connect, cementing total victory in formats like commander, legacy, oathbreaker, and vintage.
