How it works

1. Cast Harmless Offering by paying 2, giving control of Notion Thief to an opponent.
2. During that opponent's draw step, they draw a card.
3. Consecrated Sphinx triggers, causing the opponent to draw two cards due to Notion Thief.
4. Consecrated Sphinx triggers twice.
5. Resolve the first trigger, causing the opponent to draw two cards due to Notion Thief.
6. Repeat from step 4 until the opponent loses the game due to drawing from an empty library.

By using Harmless Offering to hand your opponent control of Notion Thief, you completely weaponize their own draw step against them. Normally, Notion Thief redirects your opponents' extra card draws to you, but gifting it to an opponent inverts the math: thanks to Consecrated Sphinx watching your opponents draw cards, every single draw triggers a cascading loop where the Sphinx forces them to draw two more. Because Notion Thief intercepts those draws and replaces them with draws for your opponent, the Sphinx triggers anew, creating an unstoppable self-sustaining engine that instantly mills your victim out of the game.
