How it works

1. Donate Blightbeetle to an opponent
2. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing the undying creature.
3. When the undying creature dies, its undying ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to Blightbeetle.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This loop harnesses a fascinating rules interaction where Blightbeetle's static ability—which prevents opponents' creatures from getting +1/+1 counters—permanently shuts down the drawback on your undying creatures. By using Harmless Offering to hand that Blightbeetle over to your target opponent, any undying creature you control that enters the graveyard can immediately return to the battlefield without its requisite counter. You can then feed that endless resurrection cycle directly into Thermopod's sacrifice ability to farm infinite red mana alongside an endless storm of creature deaths, entries, and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
