How it works
- Activate Leyline of Abundance by paying 6, putting four +1/+1 counters on each creature you control due to Lae'zel and Shang-Chi.
- Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
- Leyline of Abundance triggers, adding .
- Activate Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping Devoted Druid.
- Repeat from step 2 three additional times.
- Repeat from step 1.
This brilliant loop centers on Devoted Druid, which naturally untaps by taking -1/-1 counters, but here we can completely bypass that drawback thanks to a clever substitution effect. With Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion and Shang-Chi, Martial Mentor both modifying how counters are placed, any positive boost becomes explosive—allowing the activated ability of Leyline of Abundance to pile massive numbers of +1/+1 counters onto your creatures. Because those +1/+1 counters instantly cancel out the -1/-1 counters on Devoted Druid through state-based actions, the druid never actually dies from wither-style erosion and can keep tapping for mana indefinitely, supercharged by Leyline of Abundance's second ability adding extra green mana whenever a creature taps for it.
