How it works

1. Activate Leyline of Abundance by paying 6, putting four +1/+1 counters on each creature you control due to The Earth Crystal and Solid Ground.
2. Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
3. Leyline of Abundance triggers, adding .
4. Activate Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping Devoted Druid.
5. Repeat from step 2 three additional times.
6. Repeat from step 1.

This elegant engine turns Devoted Druid into a bottomless mana well by leveraging its self-untapping mechanic while using its accumulated -1/-1 counters to fuel a massive payoff. The secret to keeping the Druid alive and growing instead of withering away lies in Solid Ground and The Earth Crystal, whose replacement effects exponentially multiply the +1/'+1 counters distributed by a pumped Leyline of Abundance. Once you activate the Leyline's costly ability, the escalating counters cancel out the Druid's self-inflicted penalties while continuously bloating your board, netting infinite green mana through the Leyline's mana-doubling trigger.
