How it works
- Activate Leyline of Abundance by paying 6, putting four +1/+1 counters on each creature you control due to The Earth Crystal and Shang-Chi.
- Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
- Leyline of Abundance triggers, adding .
- Activate Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping Devoted Druid.
- Repeat from step 2 three additional times.
- Repeat from step 1.
This engine relies on Devoted Druid generating mana while cycling its own untap ability, a loop seamlessly supercharged by Leyline of Abundance doubling its green mana production to two mana per tap. To keep the Druid from perishing to its own self-inflicted penalties, you periodically pump resources into Leyline of Abundance's activated ability—an investment whose yield is radically amplified by the counter-doubling static effects of both The Earth Crystal and Shang-Chi, Martial Mentor. The Earth Crystal even lightens the load by making green spells cheaper, while Shang-Chi, Martial Mentor also holds down the fort with a massive power-up option. Together, these pieces turn a fragile mana dork into an overwhelming engine that floods your board with infinite +1/+1 counters.
