How it works
If Runaway Steam-Kin has three or more +1/+1 counters on it, activate it by removing three +1/+1 counters from it, adding .
Cast Spear Spewer by paying .
Runaway Steam-Kin triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
Activate Spear Spewer by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to each player.
Dissipation Field triggers, returning Spear Spewer from the battlefield to your hand.
Repeat.
This clever loop turns the self-inflicted damage of Spear Spewer into a continuous cycle of recycling and recasting, fueled entirely by the mana generation of Runaway Steam-Kin. Every time you recast your one-mana defender, Runaway Steam-Kin gains a +1/+1 counter while Dissipation Field immediately bounces the damage-dealer right back to your hand as soon as its tap ability resolves. Meanwhile, Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded sits quietly in the background, granting haste to any other creatures you might want to bring into the fray while ensuring your engine pieces stay protected by its indestructible nature.
