How it works
If Runaway Steam-Kin has three or more +1/+1 counters on it, activate it by removing three +1/+1 counters from it, adding .
Cast Spear Spewer by paying .
Runaway Steam-Kin triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
Activate Spear Spewer by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to each player.
Dissipation Field triggers, returning Spear Spewer from the battlefield to your hand.
Repeat.
This clever engine turns self-inflicted damage into a continuous loop of casting and bouncing. Spear Spewer acts as our repeatable red spell, pinging every player to trigger Dissipation Field, which handily scoops the goblin right back to your hand so it can be cast anew. Meanwhile, every iteration feeds Runaway Steam-Kin, turning those cheap red casts into a surplus of mana while stocking up counters for explosive refueling. Though Thousand-Year Elixir isn't strictly necessary for the core bounce loop, its presence helps manage auxiliary creature abilities or untapping needs if you choose to weave other permanents into the sequence.
