How it works
If Grim Poppet has any -1/-1 counters on it, activate it by removing a -1/-1 counter from it.
Repeat step 1 as necessary until Grim Poppet has no -1/-1 counters on it.
Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Grim Poppet.
When Grim Poppet dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
Repeat.
Resolve all Grim Poppet abilities, putting infinite -1/-1 counters on any number of creatures.
This intricate loop centers around Shilgengar, Sire of Famine turning sacrifices into Blood tokens, which can later be cashed in to flood the board with resurrected threats. To fuel this engine endlessly, Grim Poppet enters the battlefield and uses its own ability to strip away its -1/-1 counters until it can be sacrificed safely. Once it hits the graveyard, the persist ability granted by Isilu, Carrier of Twilight (the back face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn) brings Grim Poppet right back to the battlefield with a single -1/-1 counter, letting you repeat the cycle indefinitely.
