Bearer of the Heavens + Worldgorger Dragon
How it works
- Kill Bearer of the Heavens.
- Cast Worldgorger Dragon by paying 3.
- When Worldgorger Dragon enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, exiling all other permanents you control.
- At the beginning of your end step, Bearer of the Heaves triggers, destroying all permanents.
- When Worldgorger Dragon dies, its second ability triggers, returning all cards exiled with it to the battlefield under their owner's control.
This devastating sequence turns the massive stats of Bearer of the Heavens and Worldgorger Dragon into a total board wipe for your opponents. By letting Bearer of the Heavens die first, you prime the delayed trigger of its death ability, which will destroy all permanents at the beginning of the next end step. Then, casting Worldgorger Dragon lets its enter-the-battlefield trigger temporarily exile your own permanents, protecting them from that impending apocalypse. When the dust settles and Bearer of the Heavens's delayed trigger resolves to wipe the rest of the board, Worldgorger Dragon subsequently leaves the battlefield to safely return your exiled assets, leaving your opponents with absolutely nothing while you retain your entire setup.
