How it works

1. Activate Ghave by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control to create a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. Champion of the Perished triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Saproling token, adding CC.
4. Repeat.

This fascinating loop transforms Ghave, Guru of Spores into an endless engine of creation and sacrifice, fueled by Ashnod's Altar to generate infinite colorless mana alongside infinite creature tokens and death triggers. The true brilliance of the assembly relies on Conspiracy naming "Zombie," which quietly turns every token produced by Ghave into a Zombie the moment it enters. Because of that type-shifting magic, each new Saproling instantly satisfies Champion of the Perished's ability, allowing the Champion to grow larger with every iteration while simultaneously replacing the counter Ghave spent to start the cycle.
