How it works

  1. Cast Flickering Ward by paying W mana, attaching it to any creature you control.
  2. Flickering Ward enters the battlefield, triggering Historian's Boon's first ability, creating two 1/1 Soldier creature tokens.
  3. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the creature with Flickering Ward attached and a Soldier token, adding W manaW mana.
  4. Activate Flickering Ward by paying W mana, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
  5. Repeat.
