How it works

1. Activate Slag Strider by paying 1 and sacrificing another creature or artifact, dealing 1 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating two Treasure tokens due to Primal Vigor.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This engine turns the self-sacrificing loop of Slag Strider into a literal dragon's hoard by weaponizing its own 1 damage against Smaug the Impenetrable. Because Smaug is indestructible, he shrugs off the damage while his triggered ability generates Treasure tokens, a yield that is immediately doubled thanks to Primal Vigor's passive enchantment. You then feed those doubled riches right back into Slag Strider's activation cost, fueling an endless cycle of sacrifice, artifact triggers, and fiery retributive wealth.
