How it works

1. Cast Corpse Dance with buyback by tapping Caetus, Vampire Hexmage and three other creatures you control.
2. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Caetus and causing it to return to the battlefield as Invasion of Segovia.
3. When Invasion of Segovia enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating four 1/1 Kraken creature tokens.
4. Activate Vampire Hexmage by sacrificing it, removing all counters from Invasion of Segovia.
5. Invasion of Segovia triggers, causing you to exile it and cast it as Caetus, Sea Tyrant of Segovia.
6. Resolve Corpse Dance, returning Vampire Hexmage from your graveyard to the battlefield and returning Corpse Dance to your hand.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the back-and-forth transformation of Invasion of Segovia into an engine for endless value, supercharged by Parallel Lives doubling the resulting Kraken tokens into a massive army. Displacer Kitten provides the crucial blink effect whenever you cast a noncreature spell, allowing you to reset Invasion of Segovia back to its front side, while its noncreature convoke ability—alongside the mana help from Vampire Hexmage—lets you easily pay for Corpse Dance with buyback. Finally, Vampire Hexmage's ability to instantly strip counters off the Siege triggers its transformation into Caetus, Sea Tyrant of Segovia, seamlessly resetting the cycle so Corpse Dance can retrieve the Hexmage right back from the graveyard.
