How it works

1. Activate Magus of the Coffers by paying 2 and tapping it, adding at least .
2. Cast Corpse Dance with buyback by paying 2 due to Blood Funnel.
3. Blood Funnel triggers, causing you to sacrifice Magus of the Coffers.
4. Resolve Corpse Dance, returning Magus of the Coffers from your graveyard to the battlefield, giving it haste, and returning Corpse Dance to your hand.
5. Repeat.
6. If you control six or more Swamps, this combo nets infinite black mana.

This clever loop turns Blood Funnel’s punishing tax into an engine by letting its noncreature spell discount apply to Corpse Dance, cheapening its buyback cost just enough to break even. Magus of the Coffers acts as the monetary engine, tapping to generate the massive black mana required to recast the spell while graciously offering itself as the mandatory creature sacrifice to bypass the funnel's counter effect. As Corpse Dance resolves, it plucks Magus of the Coffers right back from the graveyard onto the battlefield with haste so the wizard can immediately tap for more mana, sending the spell safely back to your hand thanks to its buyback ability.
