How it works

  1. Cast Corpse Dance by paying 2B mana, returning Spectral Arcanist from your graveyard to the battlefield with haste.
  2. Spectral Arcanist enters the battlefield, triggering its ability.
  3. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Spectral Arcanist, adding CC.
  4. Resolve the Spectral Arcanist trigger, casting Corpse Dance from your graveyard with buyback by paying 2.
  5. Resolve Corpse Dance, returning Spectral Arcanist from your graveyard to the battlefield, and returning Corpse Dance to your hand.
  6. Spectral Arcanist enters the battlefield, triggering its ability.
  7. Holding priority, activate Mind over Matter by discarding Corpse Dance, untapping any applicable permanent.
  8. Repeat from step 3.
