How it works

1. Cast Corpse Dance with buyback by tapping Caetus, Vampire Hexmage and two other creatures you control.
2. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Caetus and causing it to return to the battlefield as Invasion of Segovia.
3. When Invasion of Segovia enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating two 1/1 Kraken creature tokens.
4. Activate Vampire Hexmage by sacrificing it, removing all counters from Invasion of Segovia.
5. Invasion of Segovia triggers, causing you to exile it and cast it as Caetus, Sea Tyrant of Segovia.
6. Resolve Corpse Dance, returning Vampire Hexmage from your graveyard to the battlefield and returning Corpse Dance to your hand.
7. Repeat.

This intricate loop relies on Invasion of Segovia granting convoke to noncreature spells like Corpse Dance, allowing you to pay its mana cost by tapping creatures—including Vampire Hexmage and the very Kraken tokens the Siege creates upon entry. As you cast Corpse Dance, Displacer Kitten triggers to blink Caetus, Sea Tyrant of Segovia, resetting the Siege so it can enter the battlefield anew and flood the board with more tokens. Meanwhile, sacrificing Vampire Hexmage strips the counters off the Siege to flip it back into Caetus, while Corpse Dance conveniently loops itself back to your hand via buyback while pulling the Hexmage right back out of the graveyard. Though Umori, the Collector sits quietly in the background as your companion to discount your spells, every other piece locks together in a self-sustaining cycle of transformations, blinks, and graveyard returns.
