How it works

1. Activate the Sliver that can be cast using by sacrificing it, adding .
2. The Sliver is put onto the top of your library instead of into your graveyard due to the replacement effect given to it by Pulmonic Sliver.
3. Cast the Sliver from the top of your library by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop is fueled by Basal Sliver, which lets your creatures sacrifice themselves to generously provide the black mana needed to keep things moving. Magus of the Future is the engine that pulls it all together, granting you the crucial ability to cast spells directly from the top of your library. Finally, Pulmonic Sliver completes the puzzle by wrapping the whole operation in a protective replacement effect that redirects your falling creatures straight back to the library top instead of the graveyard.
