How it works

1. Activate the Sliver that can be cast using by sacrificing it, adding .
2. The Sliver is put onto the top of your library instead of into your graveyard due to the replacement effect given to it by Pulmonic Sliver.
3. Cast the Sliver from the top of your library by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Basal Sliver to sacrifice itself for black mana, while Pulmonic Sliver steps in to rewrite its demise by sending it straight to the top of your library instead of the graveyard. Elven Chorus then ties the whole mechanism together, granting you the crucial ability to cast that very same creature straight off the top of your library. Because the mana generated by Basal Sliver completely covers the casting cost to replay it, you can repeat this cycle endlessly to generate infinite enters-the-battlefield triggers, leaves-the-battlefield triggers, and a massive storm count.
