How it works

1. Activate Nardole by tapping it, adding at least six that can only be spent to cast noncreature spells.
2. Cast Whispers of the Muse with buyback by paying 5.
3. Chakram Retriever triggers, untapping Nardole.
4. Resolve Whispers of the Muse, causing you to draw a card and return Whispers of the Muse to your hand.
5. Repeat.
6. If Nardole has at least seven counters on it, this combo nets near-infinite that can only be spent to cast noncreature spells, and you may target any other creature using Chakram Retriever's trigger.

This clever loop transforms Nardole, Resourceful Cyborg into a massive mana engine, provided it holds enough counters to fund the entire process. By tapping Nardole for its restricted blue mana, you can cast Whispers of the Muse with its buyback cost paid. Each time you cast that spell, Chakram Retriever's triggered ability steps in to untap Nardole, readying it to tap for mana all over again once Whispers of the Muse returns to your hand.
