Woe Strider

How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing another modified creature with power one or greater.
2. When the creature dies, Mazirek and One with the Kami triggers.
3. Resolve the One with the Kami trigger, creating a number of 1/1 Spirit creature tokens equal to the sacrificed creature's power.
4. Resolve the Mazirek trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
5. Resolve the Woe Strider ability, causing you to scry 1.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the natural synergy of death and sacrifice into an expanding snowball of power. By feeding a modified creature with power one or greater to Woe Strider's sacrifice ability, you trigger One with the Kami to flood the board with Spirit tokens based on that creature's strength. Simultaneously, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest watches every sacrifice happen, handing out a +1/+1 counter to each creature you control—which in turn permanently modifies your newly created tokens, letting them feed back into the loop even bigger and stronger than before.
