How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument.
2. Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument trigger.
3. Resolve the Defiler of Faith trigger, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Bogwater Lumaret triggers, causing you to gain life.
5. Resolve the Oketra's Monument trigger, creating a 1/1 Warrior creature token.
6. When the Warrior enters, Bogwater Lumaret triggers, causing you to gain life.
7. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Bogwater Lumaret trigger.
8. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
9. Resolve the Bogwater Lumaret trigger, causing you to gain life.
10. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on stacking cost reductions to cast Whitemane Lion for zero mana, repeatedly bouncing itself back to your hand while spawning an army. As you cast the Lion, Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument work together to wipe out its mana cost entirely—though you'll pay 2 life to the Defiler's alternative cost. Each iteration triggers Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument to flood the board with Soldier and Warrior creature tokens, which in turn feed Bogwater Lumaret's triggered ability to continually replenish the life you paid. Because Whitemane Lion's own enters-the-battlefield ability returns it to your hand, you can repeat the process indefinitely for an unbounded storm count and endless enters-the-battlefield triggers.
