How it works

1. Put a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth
2. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the creature token.
4. When the creature token dies, Long Feng triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Herd Baloth.
5. Herd Baloth triggers, creating a creature token.
6. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This elegant loop turns the gentle growth of Herd Baloth into an engine of absolute ruin. By feeding the 4/4 Beast tokens you generate into Altar of Dementia, you send them to the graveyard, which immediately triggers Long Feng, Grand Secretariat to drop a fresh +1/+1 counter back onto Herd Baloth. That counter placement restarts the cycle by spawning a brand-new Beast, allowing you to endlessly recycle your tokens to mill away any opponent's entire library.
