How it works

  1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing God-Eternal Kefnet.
  2. When God-Eternal Kefnet dies, it triggers, putting itself from your graveyard into your library.
  3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing you to mill cards equal to God-Eternal Kefnet's power, which will cause you to mill God-Eternal Kefnet.
  4. As God-Eternal Kefnet is a Lhurgoyf due to Leyline of Transformation, Disa's first ability triggers, returning God-Eternal Kefnet from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on Leyline of Transformation to redefine our entire creature base—declaring every card you own, including God-Eternal Kefnet, to be a Lhurgoyf. With that type-altering foundation set, Disa the Restless watches over your graveyard to immediately cheat God-Eternal Kefnet back onto the battlefield whenever it's put there from anywhere outside the battlefield. You then sacrifice God-Eternal Kefnet to Altar of Dementia; its death trigger neatly tucks it near the top of your library, and the mill that follows promptly sends it right back to the graveyard. Because Leyline of Transformation makes it a Lhurgoyf, Disa the Restless's replacement-style trigger intercepts this and puts it straight back into play, creating a seamless, self-sustaining cycle of sacrifices and graveyard returns.
