How it works

1. During that opponent's draw step, they draw a card.
2. Consecrated Sphinx triggers, holding priority, activate The Beamtown Bullies by tapping it, causing the opponent to put Notion Thief from your graveyard onto the battlefield under their control.
3. Resolve the Consecrated Sphinx trigger, causing the opponent to draw two cards due to Notion Thief.
4. Consecrated Sphinx triggers twice.
5. Resolve the first trigger, causing the opponent to draw two cards due to Notion Thief.
6. Repeat from step 4 until the opponent loses the game due to drawing from an empty library.

This clever combination weaponizes an opponent's own draw step by suddenly reanimating Notion Thief right out of your graveyard using The Beamtown Bullies. Normally, Consecrated Sphinx rewards you when opponents draw cards, but Notion Thief swoops in to intercept those draws—forcing your opponent to draw in your stead while triggering the Sphinx over and over. As the Sphinx's replacement-effect loop spirals out of control, your opponent is relentlessly forced to draw from an empty library until they lose the game.
