How it works

  1. Cast Cloudshift by paying W mana, targeting Scrivener
  2. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token.
  3. Resolve Cloudshift, blinking Scrivener
  4. When Scrivener enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Cloudshift to your hand from your graveyard.
  5. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding W mana.
  6. Repeat.

This clever spell-recursion loop sets up a self-sustaining engine built around the synergy of a blinking creature and a magecraft payoff. By casting Cloudshift to exile and return Scrivener, you trigger its ability to pull that very same instant card right back out of your graveyard to your hand. Meanwhile, Storm-Kiln Artist watches over the entire process, turning every single spell cast into a steady stream of Treasure tokens. Sacrificing one of those newly minted Treasures then provides the exact white mana needed to recast Cloudshift, allowing you to repeat the cycle indefinitely for boundless triggers.
