How it works
Activate up to five lands by tapping them, adding at least 2.
Cast Displace by paying 2, blinking Scrivener and Peregrine Drake
When Scrivener and Peregrine Drake enter the battlefield, their abilities trigger.
Resolve the Scrivener trigger, returning Displace from your graveyard to your hand.
Resolve the Peregrine Drake trigger, untapping up to five lands.
Repeat.
This elegant loop turns a simple blink spell into a self-sustaining mana and recursion engine by exploiting the simultaneous entry of both creatures. Each iteration is fueled by tapping your lands for mana to cast Displace, which exiles both Scrivener and Peregrine Drake and brings them right back to the battlefield. This forces their triggered abilities to stack up: Peregrine Drake untaps the lands you just tapped, while Scrivener reaches into your graveyard to pluck Displace right back into your hand. Because Displace handles both pieces at once, you cleanly break the cost of the spell and generate infinite mana, storm, and triggers along the way.
