How it works

1. Activate Myr Scrapling by sacrificing it.
2. When Myr Scrapling dies, Mortuary and Falkenrath Noble trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Myr Scrapling from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Falkenrath Noble trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Myr Scrapling ability.
6. Cast Myr Scrapling from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This loop turns a humble Myr Scrapling into an engine of continuous life drain, fueled by Bolas's Citadel allowing you to recast it straight from the top of your library for a mere 1 life instead of its mana cost. Each time you sacrifice the Scrapling, Mortuary ensures it bypasses the graveyard to sit right back on top of your library, waiting to be cast again. Meanwhile, Falkenrath Noble watches the endless procession of dying creatures to drain your opponents dry while simultaneously recouping the life you spent casting through the Citadel.
