How it works

1. Activate Tinder Wall by sacrificing it.
2. When Tinder Wall dies, Mortuary and Falkenrath Noble trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Tinder Wall from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Falkenrath Noble trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Tinder Wall from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop puts Bolas's Citadel's alternative life-payment casting cost to work, allowing you to replay Tinder Wall directly from the top of your library for just 1 life instead of its mana cost. Each time Tinder Wall is sacrificed for red mana, Mortuary catches it on the way to the graveyard and immediately places it right back on top of your library to maintain the cycle. Meanwhile, Falkenrath Noble watches the procession of deaths, draining your opponents' life totals and padding your own to comfortably sustain the cost of Bolas's Citadel.
