How it works

1. Activate Fanatical Firebrand by tapping and sacrificing it.
2. When Fanatical Firebrand dies, Mortuary and Falkenrath Noble trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Fanatical Firebrand from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Falkenrath Noble trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Fanatical Firebrand ability.
6. Cast Fanatical Firebrand from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This loop turns a humble goblin into an endless cycle of doom, fueled entirely by life manipulation. You begin by tapping and sacrificing Fanatical Firebrand to ping any target, which triggers both Falkenrath Noble to drain an opponent while padding your life total and Mortuary to neatly recycle the Firebrand back onto the top of your library. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless grants you the crucial permission to play cards directly from the top of your library, bypassing mana costs by paying life equal to the spell's mana value instead—a cost easily offset by the life gained from the Noble. As the Firebrand endlessly enters, dies, and returns, you rack up an unstoppable storm of damage and life drain.
