How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Haywire Mite.
2. When Haywire Mite dies, it and Mortuary triggers.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Haywire Mite from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Haywire Mite trigger, causing you to gain 2 life
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
6. Cast Haywire Mite from the top of your library by paying 1 life due to Gwenom.
7. Repeat.

This loop transforms your tiny artifact insect into an endless engine of mill and life by exploiting the precise stack interactions between Mortuary and Altar of Dementia. Whenever you sacrifice Haywire Mite to mill your opponent, Mortuary immediately catches it on its way to the graveyard and stacks it right back on top of your library. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless steps in with her static top-deck permission, letting you recast the Mite directly from the library; because Gwenom lets you pay life instead of mana, the Mite's tiny 1-mana value only costs you 1 life—an amount easily offset by the 2 life you gain every time Haywire Mite dies.
