How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Haywire Mite.
2. When Haywire Mite dies, it and Mortuary triggers.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Haywire Mite from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Haywire Mite trigger, causing you to gain 2 life
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Cast Haywire Mite from the top of your library by paying 1 life due to Gwenom.
7. Repeat.

This crafty loop centers around Gwenom, Remorseless, whose ability lets you cast creatures straight from the top of your library by paying life equal to their mana value instead of mana. You feed Haywire Mite to Umbral Collar Zealot, triggering its death ability to gain 2 life—which conveniently offsets the life you pay to recast it—while the Mite's death also satisfies Mortuary to seamlessly place the artifact creature right back onto the top of your library. Because the entire cycle is fueled entirely by life payments and a zero-mana sacrifice outlet, you can repeat this process endlessly to gain infinite life and storm count.
