How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Nether Traitor, adding .
2. When Nether Traitor dies, Blight Mound triggers, creating a 1/1 Pest creature token.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Pest, adding one mana of any color.
4. When the Pest dies, it and Nether Traitor trigger.
5. Resolve the Pest trigger, causing you to gain 1 life.
6. Resolve the Nether Traitor trigger, causing you to pay to return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat.

This recursive loop centers around Phyrexian Altar to turn a single black mana into a self-sustaining cycle of sacrifices and returns. Whenever you sacrifice Nether Traitor to the Altar, Blight Mound steps in to replace it by spawning a Pest token upon its death. Sacrificing that Pest generates the mana needed to pay Nether Traitor's own resurrection trigger, bringing it right back to the battlefield and ready to be fed to the Altar all over again.
