How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Nether Traitor, adding .
2. When Nether Traitor dies, Teysa triggers, creating a 1/1 Spirit creature token.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Spirit, adding one mana of any color.
4. When the Spirit dies, Nether Traitor triggers, causing you to pay to return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop transforms the life cycle of the shadows into a self-sustaining engine. You begin by feeding Nether Traitor to Phyrexian Altar to generate the black mana needed to pay its own resurrection cost, while Teysa, Orzhov Scion watches the black creature die to reward you with a white Spirit token. That very same Spirit is then sacrificed back to Phyrexian Altar to produce the necessary mana, its death triggering Nether Traitor's return from the graveyard to restart the whole cycle.
