How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Nether Traitor.
2. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing another creature.
3. When the creature dies, Nether Traitor triggers, causing you to pay to return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Kheru Goldkeeper and Insidious Roots triggers, creating a Treasure token, a 1/1 Plant creature token and putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
7. Repeat.

This loop transforms the simple act of sacrifice into a self-sustaining engine by capitalizing on cards leaving your graveyard. When you use Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice Nether Traitor, the shadow creature's death triggers its own return to the battlefield for a single black mana. At the same time, Kheru Goldkeeper and Insidious Roots watch your graveyard; the moment Nether Traitor departs to recur itself, they reward you by generating both a Treasure token and a growing Plant token. You can then tap and sacrifice that very same Treasure to pay the black mana required to bring Nether Traitor right back, creating an endless cycle that pumps up your Plant tokens and surveils your library into infinity.
