How it works

1. Activate Havengul Lich by paying 1, allowing you to cast Shambling Ghast card from your graveyard this turn.
2. Cast Shambling Ghast from your graveyard by paying .
3. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Shambling Ghast.
4. When Shambling Ghast dies, it triggers twice, creating two Treasure tokens.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
6. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 1
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Havengul Lich's ability to repeatedly pull Shambling Ghast right back out of your graveyard after it hits the bin. The engine is fueled by Altar of Dementia, which cheerfully turns each iteration of the Ghast into fresh mill while sending it to the graveyard. Meanwhile, Delney, Streetwise Lookout acts as a brilliant multiplier for your low-power creatures, causing Shambling Ghast's death trigger to double and effortlessly generate two Treasure tokens instead of one. Sacrificing those Treasures refunds the exact mana needed to keep the Lich working its necromantic magic, resulting in an endless cycle of sacrifice, treasure, and total library milling.
