How it works

1. Cast the artifact by paying 0.
2. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers, earthbending Rakdos Carnarium.
3. Resolve the artifact spell.
4. Activate Overgrown Estate by sacrificing Rakdos Carnarium.
5. When Rakdos Carnarium dies, Toph, Hardheaded Teach triggers, returning Rakdos Carnarium from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When Rakdos Carnarium enters, it triggers, returning the artifact cast in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand, as it's a land due to Toph, the First Metalbender.
7. Resolve the Overgrown Estate ability
8. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a humble zero-mana artifact into a self-sustaining engine by turning it into a land through Toph, the First Metalbender's static ability. When you cast that artifact, Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers to animate Rakdos Carnarium, setting up the sacrifice target for Overgrown Estate. Sacrificing the animated Rakdos Carnarium sends it to the graveyard, which triggers Toph, Hardheaded Teacher to rescue it back to the battlefield. Once Rakdos Carnarium enters, its own triggered ability forces you to bounce the artifact back to your hand, allowing you to replay it and repeat the entire cycle for infinite lifegain, landfall triggers, and storm count.
