How it works

1. Cast the artifact by paying 0.
2. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers, earthbending Rakdos Carnarium.
3. Resolve the artifact spell.
4. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Rakdos Carnarium.
5. When Rakdos Carnarium dies, Toph, Hardheaded Teach triggers, returning Rakdos Carnarium from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When Rakdos Carnarium enters, it triggers, returning the artifact cast in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand, as it's a land due to Toph, the First Metalbender.
7. Repeat.

This engine turns your 0-mana artifacts into a perpetual motion machine by leveraging Toph, the First Metalbender, whose static ability cleverly transforms every nontoken artifact you control into a land. With that foundation set, casting your artifact triggers Toph, Hardheaded Teacher to animate Rakdos Carnarium into a land creature via earthbending. You then feed that animated land to Thermopod, generating red mana and sending the Carnarium to the graveyard—which conveniently triggers Toph, Hardheaded Teacher's safety net to bring the Carnarium right back to the battlefield tapped. When the Rakdos Carnarium enters, its own bounce trigger forces you to return your zero-mana artifact back to your hand, ready to be recast and restart the entire loop for infinite red mana, storm count, and all your triggers.
