How it works

  1. Declare Excava and the creature with Breath of Fury attached as attackers.
  2. Excava triggers, returning up to one creature with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. It won't enter with a finality counter on it due to Solemnity.
  3. Deal combat damage using the creature that has Breath of Fury attached.
  4. Breath of Fury triggers, causing you to sacrifice the creature it is attached to, then attach Breath of Fury to another creature with mana value 3 or less, then causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
  5. Repeat each combat phase.

This vicious cycle thrives by turning Excava, the Risen Past and a cheap recursive engine into an endless chain of attack phases. Whenever Excava attacks, her triggered ability plucks a low-cost card from your graveyard, while Solemnity's static ability steps in to prevent the finality counter that would normally exile your recurring threat. Tuktuk Rubblefort ensures that every newly resurrected piece immediately joins the fray with haste, ready to press the attack alongside your primary carrier. When that designated attacker connects and triggers Breath of Fury, you sacrifice it to untap your board and slide the Aura onto a fresh creature for an additional combat phase, looping the slaughter indefinitely.
