How it works

1. Activate Krark-Clan Ironworks by sacrificing Despondency, adding 2.
2. Despondency triggers, returning itself to your hand from your graveyard.
3. Cast Despondency by paying 2, attaching it to a creature you control.
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on turning every single piece of your puzzle into raw mana and back again. Thanks to Mycosynth Lattice, Despondency is treated as an artifact in addition to its enchantment type, allowing you to feed it directly into Krark-Clan Ironworks to generate two generic mana. That same sacrifice triggers Despondency's own built-in clause, returning it safely to your hand so you can recast it to fuel the engine all over again.
