How it works

1. Cast Undying Malice by paying , targeting Izzet Chronarch.
2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Izzet Chronarch, adding .
3. When Izzet Chronarch dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. When Izzet Chronarch enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Undying Malice from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the recursion of Izzet Chronarch into a self-sustaining engine by utilizing Phyrexian Altar to feed the very mana needed to keep the cycle going. Whenever you sacrifice the Chronarch to the Altar, its undying status granted by Undying Malice immediately returns it to the battlefield, which in turn triggers its ability to fish Undying Malice right back out of your graveyard. Because the Altar converts the sacrificed creature directly into the black mana required to cast the spell again, you achieve an infinite loop that endlessly repeats these steps.
