How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it, adding .
2. Mortuary and Korvold trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Blood Pet on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Korvold trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and drawing Blood Pet from your library.
5. Cast Blood Pet by paying .
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard into a bottomless well of resources by combining Blood Pet with the enchantment Mortuary, which dutifully returns any fallen creature straight to the top of your library. As Blood Pet sacrifices itself for mana, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King eagerly oversees the carnage, turning every single sacrifice into a drawn card that immediately puts the creature back in your hand while growing Korvold into a massive threat. Because the mana cost to recast Blood Pet is entirely covered by its own sacrifice, the dragon king's triggered abilities can repeat indefinitely to draw your entire deck and grow infinitely large.
