How it works

1. Activate your commander by paying 1 and sacrificing a Clue or Food.
2. Crime Novelist and Jenny Flint trigger, as well as Lonis' second ability if the sacrificed artifact was a Clue.
3. Resolve the Crime Novelist trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and adding .
4. Resolve the Lonis trigger, if applicable, putting a +1/+1 counter on any other creature you control.
5. Resolve the Jenny Flint trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Lonis.
6. Lonis' first ability triggers, causing you to create a Clue artifact token.
7. Resolve the ability from step 1, dealing 1 damage to any target.
8. Repeat.

This intricate loop transforms a simple sacrifice outlet into an engine of endless damage and growth. Fueled by the activated ability granted by Street Urchin, sacrificing a Clue or Food sets off a cascade of triggers: Crime Novelist spits out red mana and grows larger, while Jenny Flint and Lonis, Genetics Expert distribute +1/+1 counters to fuel further triggers. Because Lonis investigates whenever counters land on it—and triggers again when its own evolve ability or your sacrifice effects pump your other creatures—you continuously refill your supply of artifacts to sacrifice.
