How it works

1. Give Walking Ballista lifelink, if needed.
2. If Walking Ballista has less than two +1/+1 counters on it, activate Unspeakable Symbol by paying 3 life, putting a +1/+1 counter on Walking Ballista.
3. Activate Walking Ballista's second ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, dealing 4 damage to an opponent or a permanent an opponent controls, and causing you to gain 4 life.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns Walking Ballista into a self-sustaining engine by exploiting massive damage multipliers. With both Furnace of Rath and Twinflame Tyrant on the battlefield, any damage dealt to an opponent or their permanents is doubled twice, turning a single point of ping into a devastating four damage. You can pump that damage back into infinite loops by using Unspeakable Symbol to rebuild Walking Ballista's counter supply at the cost of life, which is easily offset once your pings start generating massive life gains through effects like lifelink.
